Public Affairs & Advocacy
Public Affairs & Advocacy Committee (PAA) encourages Junior League members to be informed, active citizens and addresses the public issues which affect our community. PAA is committed to serving the needs of women and youth in the Champaign-Urbana community through community advocacy efforts. The committee works with other community groups and members of JLCU to gather and disseminate appropriate information regarding local and statewide advocacy efforts and to provide opportunities to involve the membership in these efforts.

What is SPAC?
The State Public Affairs Committee (SPAC) is made up of delegates who represent their Junior League in the state. The delegates' mission is to take action on state and national issues that affect our projects and focus areas, to facilitate communication among the member Junior Leagues of Illinois on public policy, to educate League members on selected issues, to provide training in advocacy skills, and to act as the representative of member Leagues.
