The goal of the Community Assistance Fund (CAF) is to respond to the financial needs of non-profit organizations within the Champaign-Urbana area. Organizations that receive funds are involved in projects or programs that coincide with the Junior League of Champaign-Urbana's Position Statements, including promotion of voluntarism, equal opportunities for women, elimination of domestic violence, and support of public health programs. Applications for the grants are accepted twice per year, and awards are made in the fall and spring of each year. From 1997 to 2008, over $75,000 has been awarded to community groups and programs.
